My Story: The Journey to BaptLook2

For more than four decades, I have served in roles that blend faith, community, and stewardship — from parish administration to ceremonial leadership for church, police, and fire organizations. Over the years, one responsibility remained constant: safeguarding the historical baptismal records entrusted to our parishes. Some of these registers date back to 1785, handwritten by pastors who could never have imagined the digital world we live in today.

As I worked with these records, I saw a pattern repeated across parishes: aging books, fragile pages, inconsistent formats, and the growing challenge of retrieving information quickly and accurately. Families would call searching for a baptism from decades past. Clergy needed records for sacraments, marriages, or funerals. Archivists wanted to preserve history before time wore it away. And too often, the answer required hours of searching through shelves, binders, and boxes.

I realized our parishes deserved better — a modern tool that respected the dignity of our traditions while giving clergy and administrators the efficiency they need. That vision became BaptLook, and now its successor, BaptLook2.

BaptLook2 is more than software. It is a ministry of preservation.

I designed it to be simple, reverent, and practical: a unified system that allows parishes to store, search, and protect their baptismal records with confidence. Every feature — from the parchment‑style interface to the gold‑accented theme — reflects the heritage of the Church while embracing the clarity of modern technology.

My hope is that BaptLook2 empowers parishes to continue their sacred work with greater ease, accuracy, and peace of mind. It is my offering to the Church communities I have served throughout my life — a way to honor the past while preparing for the future.
